Artist's Comments

Art ... wherever.

:)

a pile of cement slabs torn up from an old and abandoned loading pier in Thunder Bay has become a favorite target for graffiti artists. The rest of the color pallet in this photo was chosen by mother nature as the sun went down behind me.

I really like this, mostly because it's so simple I think, not 100% sure why I like it so much, theres just something about it really. =]

I was captivated by the surrealistic feel of the sky and weather ... maybe that's what you see here man ... it was a unique colorful moment :)

Yes, this is very good graffiti, which can be named in my opinion "a real art".

Every part of our reality can be a masterpiece of art.

I've read a years ago about german municipial incineration plant projected by an artist. It doesn't look like a factory. :)

Tasted the snake's poison
Broken every bone
Felt a thousand gunshot wounds
But there's nothing that whiskey can't cure

It is a surreal kind of shot. I like the concept of turning old art into new art. In fact, I just read this Freeman Patterson quote this morning:

"Every artist is, first of all, a craftperson thoroughly knowledgeable about the materials, tools, and techniques of his or her particular medium and skilled in using many of them. However, in my view, no amount of technical knowledge and competence is, of itself, sufficient to make a craftperson into an artist."

And voila theres your shot!
