I made this photo while on a long tough hike around Rinker Lake (on which my forward attack base for forest fires is situated) to the mouth of a fast flowing stream surrounded by cedar and moss. The lush area is very hard to access due to the thick cedar growth surrounding it.. these old trees give the streambed a very tropical feel despite this being the heartland of the Canadian Shield boreal forest.. a rare little ecosystem I was glad to happen upon last week.
HDR image.. 3 shots bracketed at 1/3EV.
