"Look daddy! .. it's your helicopter!"

From the time you were 3 and I got you up on your first helicopter ride ..you'd always proclaimed every chopper you'd see to be 'Dads Helicopter'

I once told you that every time dad flew over the house (and I did occasionally on my way to forest fires or attack bases) I'd be waving down to you and that you should wave back even though you couldn't see me. I actually saw you several times playing in the backyard .. a little speck on the ground frantically waving your arms in the air. I remember thinking .. there 1000 feet down below me, no bigger than an ant at my feet, is something I love more than anything else in the entire universe.

You leave to go back to your mom tomorrow.

I'll be sad. You'll be 400km away but right here in my heart Lauren..

..always and forever.
