Night Watch

I've been a forest fire fighter for 27 years now.  For the past 20, I've run an initial attack helicopter crew in my home province of Ontario and have also worked all over North America wherever the forests are burning.  The sweat and dirt and heat and bugs and noise are my world.  What makes it all worthwhile are my buddies.. men and women of a rare stock, they have my ultimate trust and I have theirs.  Our bond is fire.. the ravenous living and breathing element known among us respectfully as The Beast.
