One of the greatest things about where I live is the amazing amount of natural beauty which is virtually unknown by most of the people who live here.
Yes, many countries have a lot of spectacular natural beauty... but few are as untouched as mine is... as untrampled.
Take this waterfall for example. Although 100,000 people live 30 miles from it in Thunder Bay, I would guess only a 100 even know about it ... and less than that have ever taken the time to climb the steep rockslide to witness it when the spring water-rush falls over the 150-foot cliff.
Like so many other natural hidden gems in Northwestern Ontario... and Canada in general... there are no paths leading here... no 'X' on the tourist maps to guide the masses here.
...and I like it that way.
