The Firesteel River 70km from Ignace, Ontario.

This slow-moving river winds through the jackpine forest on an almost lazy course... its banks, while hard to traverse because of the thick undergrowth, are rich in scenery and dear to my heart.

When the sun is low in the sky, the shadows and green contrasts together with the summer sounds of crickets, frogs, and birds, bring the wild forest to life...

All one needs here is a fishing rod, camera... and a wandering soul. :)
