A natural winter oddity to show you...
I'm not sure exactly how this came to be ... dry melting of a large rock-like chunk of ice I suppose ... it was only a foot high, but when lying on the snow in front of it and back-lighting it with the setting sun, it seemed to take on a grander scale... the pillars reminding me of a Greek temple.

edit: Feb. 2010 : removing thick black frames from selected photos in my gallery and reposting for those who've missed them.
It's been so long.. and I'm not as avid as I used to be with a camera... mostly due to a radically changed life. I will certainly mix in some new shots occasionally, but hopefully you won't mind a second view at my better stuff.
