The Belly of the Beast 2

Fire... affectionately known amongst my firefighting brethren as the 'beast'... on occasion I find myself hipnotized by its beauty .. staring down its throat and into its belly.


I did one of these shots last year while slashpile burning ... well my firefighting contract was extended this year preventing me from pile-burning. However, today my job was to burn a huge pile of lumber from the torn-down sauna at our base in Shebandowan.. I had the opportunity to get the tripod and camera out and play around the rather intense fire.
