Description
Shot on the side of Loch Lomand mountain near Thunder Bay on a fast moving mountain stream. The ice was at a really interesting stage of formation during the early-winter of 2006 when I had the thrill of exploring it for most of the day.
The interesting thing about the 'caked shore' is that the ice buildup on the trees was from a tall waterfall just to the right... the spray accumulated into ice in a fascinating but rather ... erm.. amusing way.
I'm happy to return this image back to my dA print portfolio.. it has been redone from scratch with a new crop and size ratio.
previously it was part of my 4-print 'Fast and Frozen' series, but was my favorite of the set (and also the only one I ever sold
), so I decided to re-title it as stand-alone piece.
