They told you to be strong .. and you were. And you waited. Wrestling your demons. Growing new wings. Watching the birds out there. Waiting to fly again. But the demons persist.. For every feather you grow, another falls out.. The light you once reached for is broken and scattered .. uncertainty darkens your soul. . a few words about this small series of photographs: This was one of the first times I had a concept for a series of photos. The tragic ending is not only an expression of art but hopefully an insight into the monster which is mental illness. We probably all will experience some form of depression at times in our lives. Keep a close watch on your loved ones and give them a hug when they are down.. that simple act of caring may save a life. There are many birds out there longing to fly again.. give them their wings. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
