I watched the weather closely and returned to the place where I shot ' Passage Through Winter ' .. this time at sunrise.. I got up at 6am and drove 30 miles to Cloud Bay.
The ice was still locked around the trees and plants out on this rocky point .. the wind was strong making the temperature about -35c .. brrr! My whole objective was to back-light these oddities the way I had two winters ago with my 'Frozen Timeless' series.
I was rewarded with great conditions for this .. the mist over Lake Superior was aglow in the new sunlight and the morning was a glorious spectacle..
