Wood, rock, and water... ingredients which for me are the essence of nature.
in 2004, I was 4x4ing about 5 miles back an old abandoned road barely wide enough for my truck. There were lots of rocks and mudholes... I bottomed out and was forced to stop with nowhere to turn around on the mountainside. Cursing, I got out of the truck and could hear the sound of waterfalls in the distance through the woods in the ravine below. I grabbed the camera and hiked toward the sound. The bush was dense and the ground steep, but when I got there I found this beautiful rocky cedar-lined mountain creek with an incredible waterfall. This photo was made during a different visit to this mountain stream in a different season, but it is the very place where I discovered it and fell in love with its seasonal beauties. ~~~~~ If you'd like, please have a gander at my mini-gallery devoted to Moving Water . |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
