Good to hear from you - and so gllad you have your daughter I'm a single parent of a grown up daughter now - but know time constraints when children are around.
I hope you have time to upload some of your work from time to time though
Hey man! It sucks that you haven't been around for a while, but it also proves just how great a dad you are, putting your little girl first, we all understand so don't worry about it, just go at your own pace and we'll be supporting you all the way! Good luck and best of wishes!! And try not to force yourself to "paint" again, it'll come back by itself =]
Hello my friend. It is good to have you back. I have to admit, I didn't know you were gone, because I was gone too. I've only now gotten my own computer and have access to the internet again. But, still, you are one of my favorite people here, not just because of your work, but also because of the little comments we have shared. You are one of the very first people I met, and one who made me feel at home and apprecated as a computer friend. I was going through my way too many messages, mostly deleting them, and I saw this one here with your lightbulb attached to it, so I stopped and read it.
Congratulations on your precious Lauren. That is wonderful. It is true, our children run our lives while we have them, but children grow up all too quickly, and then we are left with who we were before, and who we've become while loving these kids. Enjoy. So what if for a while your light photography becomes Laurenography. Those are the memories that you will charish for the rest of your life, while continuing your light photography. And, in reality, you will be exploring a different type of light. The light of love and family.
Also, my youngest, now 20, and I were just wonderfully laughing to your "5 things to do when bored at Wal-Mart." I laughed so hard!!!!!!! Thank you!
I have been a single mom since 1995. Now that mine are all grown, I find myself being a single mom as a house mother at a children's home. Oh well, there goes my art time..... but there are rewards.
Talk to you soon my dear computer friend. Or, well, where ever our single parenthood status allows us to really read and answer our mail.
Hey Skinner. :] No need to explain. Life happens and you just gotta go with it sometimes. Whether you come back or not is your decision but if you do I'll be very glad to enjoy your work once again. :] Take care.
I hope you have time to upload some of your work from time to time though
Cheers
Robyn

I guess there is no dilemma when it comes to being a good father or photography. Best of luck mate!
I haven't been around much either, schoolwork has been killing me. T_T
Enjoy the present presence of your daughter.
A quote seen online comes to mind: (variously attributed to:

"Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery.
And today? Today is a gift.
That's why we call it the present".
