Evening Comes Early

While shooting one lovely evening this past winter, the sky darkened prematurely as some storm clouds rolled in. I managed to record the sun's final struggle before its light was overwhelmed and evening came early.

The original shot was much darker and I hadn't planned to do anything with it ... but since developing my technique for single-image HDRI, many of these single image oopsies on my HD are turning into fairly decent photos. at the very least the HDRI tone-mapping enhanced the cloud texture enough to make this drama come to life.... So I'm happy with it
