A large flock of Canada Geese is late departing from northern Lake Superior near Thunder Bay, Ontario. The mist is not fog but is rather the result of warmer waters contacting bitter cold air. The late morning sun had finally risen above it into relatively clear skies, illuminating this scene with an almost blinding light. The abandoned dock is a huge remnant of yesteryear, and is featured in a few of my gallery shots.. most notably this one:
